Contemplative Journey

My work is an introspective journey, where self-reflection and contemplation meet to help me visualize the complex emotions and subconscious imagery that shape our collective human experiences.

The creative process itself serves me as a tool for meditation and introspection. This meditative approach often results in abstract or imaginary 'soul-scapes', depicting ethereal spaces with an atmosphere of calm and contemplation. Each painting holds a subtle hint of mystery, inviting viewers to explore deeper meanings beneath the surface.

Drawing inspiration from mystic surrealists and contemporary visionaries, I work at the intersection of symbolic narrative and quiet rituals of self reflection. I often use powerful symbols from nature or surreal subjects to build metaphorical narratives about spiritual transformations, resilience, and healing.

I aim to further explore the relationship between visual art and subconscious mechanisms and the healing power of the creative process through my ongoing art therapy studies and practice. I believe in the transformative power of creativity and hope to integrate this into my art.

For the Love of Nature

I strongly believe that artistic practice can be both expressive and environmentally
conscious. I'm committed to using natural, non-toxic, and ethically sourced materials while
continually exploring new methods to create in harmony with nature.

For my watercolors, I use natural paint made from foraged pigments and crafted by artisans, or I create my own watercolors using pure, non-toxic earth and plant pigments and recycled paper. I also enjoy experimenting with botanical inks and natural dyes.

In my oil paintings, I blend water-soluble, eco-friendly oil paints with repurposed organic materials such as sand, gravel, dry pigments, used coffee grounds, and tea leaves.
