What is holistic art therapy?
Holistic art therapy is a gentle, non-clinical practice that combines creative expression with mindfulness to support relaxation, emotional wellbeing, and self-awareness.
Through drawing, painting, collage, and other visual art forms, participants are invited to explore their inner world in a safe and supportive environment. No artistic experience is required - the focus is not on the final artwork, but on the personal experience and the impact of the creative process on body, mind, and emotions.
Each holistic art therapy workshop is an immersive, multi-sensory experience that weaves together meditation, music, aromatherapy and creativity. Guided by a certified practitioner and experienced artist, you are encouraged to slow down, reconnect with yourself, release stress, and reflect on your personal journey. The process supports self-expression, emotional balance, and personal growth in a calm and inspiring setting.
Workshop experience
Workshops are held in small, intimate groups allowing for individual attention and a sense of safety and connection.
Each session begins with a welcome drink and a slowing-down ritual, a short guided meditation or visualization supported by calming music, soft candlelight, and carefully chosen scents. This helps create a relaxed, present state of mind and prepares you for the creative process.
Once the group feels settled, the session’s intention, creative focus, and art materials are introduced. A brief warm-up exercise may be offered to help you become familiar with the materials and ease into creative flow.
The main creative process takes place quietly and individually, with gentle guidance and support available throughout. This calm, reflective atmosphere allows you to connect more deeply with your inner experience.
The session concludes with soft prompts and reflective questions, encouraging awareness of emotions, thoughts, and bodily sensations that arose during the process. Participants are invited to note these reflections in a creative journal or on the back of their artwork. Sharing with the group is always optional and entirely at your own comfort level.
We close each workshop with a moment of gratitude, honoring both the creative journey and the space held together.
