September always felt like the start of a new chapter to me, not January, not Spring. Maybe because Summer brings a much needed reset of both body and mind, and, there is 'back to school' energy in the air.
This September, I start by preparing for the upcoming Kunst Markt Noord, scheduled for 26 + 27 September in Amsterdam Noord. After my first participation in the March edition earlier this year, I'm very happy to be back and reconnect with the local community and the audience. I'm also very much looking forward to the series of Holistic Art Therapy Workshops I'm preparing.
KMN is one of those local events that instantly feels like home. The youthful, alternative, and vibrant spirit of the event (unlike many other posh art events), creates a welcoming and genuine atmosphere, and the diversity of work offered by over 75 visual artists (!) guarantees that everyone can find something interesting. I call it an 'event', because it is much more than just a group exhibition / art market. There will be live DJ sets, food & drinks, and party vibes - a true Amsterdam (Noord) spirit.
My experience as a first-time participant earlier this year was great - I loved the vibes, organization, the audience, and the colleague artists I met, so I'm happy to be back!

'Kunstmarkt Noord is a quarterly art market in Amsterdam Noord, focused on making art accessible for everyone. It’s a welcoming space for new and passionate artists to show their work and connect with art lovers, collectors, and the local community. Holistic Art Therapy Workshops
How do you know something is your true calling? You feel strongly pulled toward it, regardless of the obstacles, life circumstances and personal doubts. Art Therapy is something I always come back to, not just as a part of the self-healing process, but more and more as a tool for helping other sensitive souls. I've poured my heart and soul, along with my experience and knowledge, in creating an immersive experience that will help us lean inward and, at least for a moment, find peace in this loud, fast and overdemanding society we live in.
The workshops will take place in a suitable location in Amsterdam center, in small groups. All creative materials will be provided, as well as healthy drinks and snacks. You only bring your best intention, an open mind and heart :)
