I've recently joined one of the biggest online art galleries - ArtMajeur, alongside 130,000 other artists and 700 galleries. To be honest, considering the overwhelming number of artists and artworks available on this platform, I was sure there was no chance my work would get noticed. To my complete surprise, the very next day I found out that two of my artworks had been included in the exclusive collections by ArtMajeur curators!
'Angel Koi', a gouache painting on paper has been included in New Artists Weekly Selection:
Story Behind the Painting
'Angel Koi' is a watercolor and gouache painting on paper from my koi series from 2021. I remember how during the pandemic I switched to painting with watercolor and gouache only, since I could only paint at home, mostly on my kitchen table.
The Koi series was inspired by the symbolism and beauty of koi fish and I was aiming for a minimalistic composition and color palette, with a contemporary touch. It is well known that koi fish carry strong symbolism in all Eastern cultures, however, I wanted to try to give a personal perspective to this symbolism. For example, Tancho koi is considered a symbol of good luck, it is usually the most expensive and the most revered of all koi species. However, looking at the big blood-red mark on the head of the angelically white body of the fish, it looked like a lethally wounded innocent soul to me.
Besides ArtMajeur, 'Angel Koi' is available on my website shop, too.

Oil painting 'Satori' featured in 'New Artists' selection on ArtMajeur Social Media.

'Satori', an oil painting on linen canvas, was a leading artwork in my solo exhibition: 'Silent Soul Scapes', 2024 in Amsterdam, and my favorite piece from that series.
'Satori' is a contemplative piece that evokes a sense of deep calm through its ethereal depiction of a soft dusk sky and distant foggy mountains. I've aimed to depict that perfectly calm and quiet moment just before the day gives in to night, the sky is soft and silky and you can almost hear the silence...In a moment like this, I surrender to the softness of the fleeting moment which helps me reach the sense of ultimate inner peace and spiritual strength.
Besides ArtMajeur, 'Satori' is also available on my website shop:
